Big Frog Mountain

Today we climbed Big Frog Mountain. It's a total of 11 miles there and back. Unfortunately we started our hike a little later in the day, 1:00. By the time we finished it was about 6:00 so we barely stopped for breaks.  For some reason Paul made it sound like it would be a nice pleasant hike lol. It was definitely beautiful,  especially the view from the top. However, we spent most of the time trudging through snow up the side of the steep mountain, I could barely walk afterwards. I can barely walk today but it was completely worth it :)

I was so tired at this point. We were almost to the top.

The Rhododendrons were so beautiful near the top.

It's kind of hard to tell, but there is a steep drop on both sides of that path.

This doesn't even come close to to capturing the magnificent view we saw. We were about 4,000 ft. up.

I had to grab onto our backpack towards the last part of our trip.

Loved how the branches twisted like this at the top.

Sunday In Chattanooga

Valentines Day

For Valentines Day I made a fort for Paul. I'm keeping it up all weekend. He loved it :) Also for some reason my pictures seem to load faded. It's driving me nuts. I'm not sure why it does that. But you'll get the idea of what everything looked like.

Cousin Visit

My cousin Rachel came to visit last night. We had so much fun in the snow.
Paul was off yesterday and today which made it even more fun. It was so nice having a guest lol.

 Chattanooga in the snow.

Hunter Museum of "merica." Very southern sounding.

Snow Day

We watched Lord of the Rings on our pull-out couch.

We made Snow soup and Beer bread too. Here is Paul adding actual snow;)

It was so tasty!

Homemade Valentine's Day Ideas

Hello, Lovelies! If you're anything like me, you've probably been too busy to figure out Valentines day! Well today is the perfect day to try and come up with something special to do with your man. I found this link on pintrest that had a tone of cute homemade ideas. I figured I'd share them with you! If you don't have time to make some of these this year, maybe you could do it next year!

Here are a couple of my favorite ideas

Here is the link to the page. I really hope I have some of these materials :)

Ok so this is what I ended up make today.

Heart garland! Each heart has a scripture about Gods love on it.

I also made a "box of love" for Danny. Each heart has a "manly" scripture on it. I put it in a cigar box so that it is secretive and no one will know what's inside:)
